Lockdown has certainly affected us all in some way or another throughout the whole year of complicated rules and restrictions.
Stables all across the UK are determined to keep fighting to remain open despite having no income during the lockdown.
But for Park Lane Stables RDA a small charity in the area of Teddington the landlord has told them that he will not be renewing their lease which ends on 31 May 2021 as he wishes to sell the property.
Park Lane Stables Riding for the Disabled is a small charity and has been a key part of the Teddington community for many years, providing much-needed therapy and happiness to hundreds of local children and adults with (and without) disabilities and mental health challenges every year.
They urgently need to raise £1M to buy the stables. They will then be 100% owned by the registered charity Park Lane Stables RDA 1161306 and be part of the wider RDA family. This would mean securing their future in the long-term and with the money they save from the cost of the lease they will be able to provide more lessons at a subsidised rate and invest in vital therapy equipment.
They work before COVID they would provide around 3000 sessions of therapeutic riding throughout the year including hippotherapy and carriage driving. They have a huge waiting list of adults and children with disabilities in need for their services, owing the stable would contribute to provide even more sessions each year.
Here at Well Gel Products we are supporting RDA and riding schools across the UK to remain open. We are donating £1 from every purchase to Park Lane Stables to contribute to this cause.
